About
Rangedrifter is a traditional, turn-based roguelike game set in a forbidden land. You travel a remote and shifting path, outsmart deadly traps, overcome monsters and wild animals, gather food and gear, find secrets, and try to reach the lost ancient kingdom lying dormant on the horizon.
Gameplay
The game is played in "runs", where you try to reach the destination of a changing path. Each path is unique, flowing through the world in unpredictable ways: passing by peaceful sights, monster nests and dungeons.
You will encounter large stones marking the way, each granting a charm when you touch them. To survive, you will need to delve into dungeons to find gear, and gather rare food and supplies on the surface.
Rangedrifter is not an easy game. It is meant to put you into situations that are just as fun to fail as to overcome. So while a perfect run could be achieved in an afternoon, the joy is meant to be the found along the way.
After Early Access Release
First, I plan to improve the game and world with feedback and suggestions from the community. Once the game is in a good state I will begin work on the next region, the foundation of which is already in the game. With that come new monsters, items and paths to explore and maybe more. I plan for that to take 2-4 months during which I improve and backport new features to the live game.
